Chad worked as the cable guy for the local cable company.  He had a quiet mystique in his eyes that I was drawn to instantly.  I met him out socially with friends and then befriended him on Facebook.  I really wanted to create some sort of portrait of him and capture the subtle intense allure he seemed to keep hidden within his quiet personality.  He had seen the links to The Naked Man Project on Facebook and asked if I would consider using him for the project.  I was actually surprised because I knew he was straight, and felt a bit intimidated to photograph him naked, but he seemed so comfortable that I agreed.  He came to the studio with his girlfriend the first time and we began to do some tests.  He seemed so natural and comfortable the more he exposed himself.  He had always worn bulky clothes so it was fascinating to see what a well-defined body he revealed as he began to strip completely nude.  We ended up shooting three different sessions.  These are a few selected images from those shoots.  He recently moved back to this hometown in Havre on the Montana Highline, but comes back to visit quite often with plans to work on more images in the future.

Paul Richmond - American Erotic Humorist Painter

Paul’s work immediately struck me because they were so filled with a humor I could identify with.  He had developed a series he called “Cheesecake” which was a vivid throwback to the nostalgic pin up styles we had become accustomed to seeing.  Typically these types of images were shown with women in these sorts of manors; for instance the old horror movie classic where the woman is being terrorized by some menacing creature.

A delightful and sometimes tragic epic romp through the course of a man’s life.  It's main character, Cyril Avery, takes you on a literal journey of a lifetime, as his story unfolds in seven year increments, throughout eleven phases of his life.  A sort of coming of age, after realizing he is different, and the often painful repercussions of coming to terms with his sexual attraction to men.  [read review]

Exquisitely filmed period gay romance drama that is as timeless today as when it first appeared.  Flawless performances that are heart wrenching and true to E.M. Forster’s original novel.  Captivating, moving, and ultimately intriguing of a time when this sort of love was utterly forbidden. [read review]
