Paul’s work immediately struck me because they were so filled with a humor I could identify with. He had developed a series he called “Cheesecake” which was a vivid throwback to the nostalgic pin up styles we had become accustomed to seeing. Typically these types of images were shown with women in these sorts of manors; for instance the old horror movie classic where the woman is being terrorized by some menacing creature.
A delightful and sometimes tragic epic romp through the course of a man’s life. It's main character, Cyril Avery, takes you on a literal journey of a lifetime, as his story unfolds in seven year increments, throughout eleven phases of his life. A sort of coming of age, after realizing he is different, and the often painful repercussions of coming to terms with his sexual attraction to men. [read review]

This is one of those rare movies that reach into the depth of our souls to show us a poetic portrait of our humility and ultimately our humanity. This movie captures that bittersweet journey someone diagnosed with cancer must tread in order to come to terms with one’s own mortality.
